Questions You Should Ask

What You Should Know When Hiring a Personal Trainer

We hope that you'll choose our services but we do understand that people like to shop around before they buy. We have so much faith that our programs are right for you that we put together some basic questions you should ask any personal training service. Make sure you get the most out of your new personal training program and don't hesitate to ask!

1. Are your trainers certified?

Make sure your personal trainers have a national accredited personal training certification and that they hold current CPR credentials. It is important that the person who helps you reach your goals is qualified to do so!

At the Personalized Physique all of our trainers hold nationally accredited certifications as well as participate in continuing education programs to make sure we have the latest techniques, dynamic exercises, new equipment, unique skills and the newest information in the health and wellness field.

2. Do your personal training programs offer progress check-ins?

Having a fitness game plan is important to your fitness success. If you don't know where you start and how far you've come, then how will you stay motivated? Make sure your personal trainers set goals and game plans that are attainable. Setting up a tracking system for just this reason holds you accountable and keeps you focused.

All of our programs have checks and balances that help to ensure you get the most out of your personal training program. Some of which include; weigh-ins, body fat analysis, Body mass index testing, strength testing, flexibility testing, food diaries and much more.

3. Do your personal trainers try to sell you supplements?

You should run the other way if anyone who is not a registered dietitian tries to sell you supplements or other "quick fix" remedies. Liquid diets, special vitamins, and additional supplements are loosely regulated and many products do not pass through the FDA requirements. Only a registered dietitian should be telling you which supplements you should be taking. We never push or sell supplements or vitamins. Most people can get all their nutrients from a balanced diet and a multi vitamin.

4. Can you provide references?

We have a list of past and present satisfied clients who would love to rave about our services and tell you how they reached their fitness goals. We are so proud of our client's fitness accomplishments that we can't help but boast a little. Make sure you check out our testimonials and fitness success stories pages.

5. How are your personal trainers supervised?

We understand that it's not easy letting a stranger into your home. We have a list of strict qualifications that our trainers must follow in order to be employed by us. Not to mention our trainers work as a team, programs are overseen by our head trainer. Since there are many ways to reach your goals, we want to make sure you have the most efficient and effective workout possible.
