Bikini Ready!
Diane is great! She changes things up, each home training session is different. I can see a significant improvement in my strength and I have been able to gradually increase my running mileage - which was a goal for me going into this. I’m so confident in the improvements that I have registered for a half marathon in Nov. I've also had several people comment on the changes in my body – even in a bikini, lol!

...it's almost impossible to express my appreciation to The Personalized Physique for giving me my life back.
I guess I hadn't realized how much feeling bad about my body was affecting me. Perhaps it was one of those things where you don't realize you're depressed until you aren't anymore. The second thing people mention to me, after of course noticing how much weight I've lost and how much I've changed my body, is how much happier I seem. It's absolutely true, I am immeasurably happier. I can wholeheartedly say that the Personalized Physique Bootcamp has changed my life. After having three kids in three years, I had lost the body I once had. I wasn't obese, I just didn't look the way I used to look and it was really depressing. I spent a lot of time worrying about getting dressed and hiding "problem areas" and put way more energy than I should have into worrying about how bad I looked. I never felt perfect before, but I had been an athlete and in shape and didn't stress so much about the way I looked. Now I was putting so much of my energy into feeling bad about myself that it was affecting my daily life. I had had enough. I needed a change, and I needed to focus my mind on being happier with myself so that I could put more positive focus on all the wonderful things I had in my life. Bootcamp was the way I was able to do that. I'll admit that I was really nervous when I started, and I was afraid that I would show up to a nasty instructor whose goal was to break people down, make them cry and puke at the same time, but it wasn't like that at all. It was of course very challengeing at first because I hadn't REALLY worked out in a while, but Paula (the trainer) was supportive and encouraging, and I loved the camraderie of working out with people who were of my same mindset and chasing the same goals that I was. After a little while and some hard work, it really started to click with me and I found that I looked forward to going to bootcamp, and I actually missed working out on the weekends. I had begun to feel better about myself and the changes were happening mentally and PHYSICALLY. My body was really changing and I started to feel "in shape" again. I would never have been able to do it alone, and in fact now, I hate working out alone because I miss Paula and the rest of the bootcamp crew. There's something so reassuring about seeing the group of virtual strangers waiting outside at a ridiculous hour to work their butts off. And I cannot say enough about the motivating force of our fantastic trainers. I'm at a point now where I cannot imagine NOT doing Bootcamp because I wouldn't want to work out any other way! And now that I see the changes that Bootcamp has made in my body and my mental state, it's almost impossible to express my appreciation to The Personlized Physique for giving me my life back. There's nothing quite like going into a store and buying jeans three sizes smaller than the last pair you bought or having a salesperson tell yout hat you should really stay away from the "curvy" fit because they're much too baggy in the thighs and butt. I never thought those words would be said to me in my life! I had forgotten what it felt like to feel "hot", but Bootcamp has given me all that back. I didn't even realize how sad I was until started feeling really really happy, and that happiness about how I look has translated to a happier outlook about just about everything. And as a mom, it's so nice to start the day by doing something just for myself that makes me feel better about myself, so that I can be better for all the people in my life who depend on me. Keeping up the Motivation!
As a busy professional woman, finding the time and keeping up the motivation to work out regularly was quite the challenge. The Personalized Physique was the perfect solution for me. The in home training concept is absoultely fabulous and eliminates travel time to the gym and the wait for machines or equipment. The flexibility in scheduling is terrific and I really enjoy the variety of training styles. Each trainer has her own unique method of training, which is great to keep your body in constant training mode. The Personalized Physique was the perfect solution for me.

I got my "hotness back!"
I was joking around yesterday because we went to a Christening and my sister-in-law told me that her 18 year old newphew asked who the "smokin hot blonde at the end of the table" was and it was me!! I turned to my husband and said, "look bootcamp has given me my hotness back!!" Very funny but a big moment for me because after three kids in three years, I had definitely lost that feeling.

Perfect for Busy People Like Me!
"I'm an overwhelmingly satisfied Personalized Physique home personal training client. I began my journey to weight loss and fitness 6 training sessions ago and am astonished with the quick results already. My experience began with Jennelle who came to my house and asked many questions, listened to my requests and needs, and conducted an assessment of my current fitness level. She stayed over an hour and a half and by the end of the session she knew which trainers would work best with my personality and arranged my schedule with the trainers that fit my needs. She explained to me that two trainers would be working with me due to the fact that if one couldn't make a session the other one could take her place and it was always a good idea to have two trainers working with one client. I have been assigned two female trainers who come to my house three days a week (one hour session each day). I can't be more pleased with the professionalism, knowledge, and enthusiasm each trainer has demonstrated. The communication between the two trainers is very impressive and apparent. They coordinate the targeted exercises they have me do each session, the amount of weights to be used, and the number of repetitions per exercise. They know my strengths and weaknesses and encourage me during each exercise. I've had to change my schedule once already and they have been extremely flexible and have accommodated by request. I actually look forward to seeing my trainers and sharing with them my accomplishments thus far. It is very refreshing to work with professionals who encourage you to reach your goal and push you to do "one more" and praise you when you've done it.

"I started going to Personalized Physique's boot camp in May, 2010 after deciding that a 1 hour workout was what I could fit into my schedule. From Lazy to Addicted
"I am LAZY when it comes to exercise. I hate the gym and I hate running. When I heard about Personalized Physique Boot Camp, I decided to give it a try. I will be honest—I didn't like it at first but I had to keep trying. After about the third class, I was addicted. I am into my second session and I am loving it. The trainers push you and surprise you with new workouts all the time. They are very creative with their workout routines and exercises. Boot Camp
"I decided to try Boot Camp after seeing the summer session working out at Merrimack College, and I could not be happier with my decision to give it a shot. I was a little nervous before the first class because I have never attended any formal exercise classes at a gym, nor do I really enjoy the monotony of a regular gym membership. I quickly learned that there was nothing to be nervous about and that I could work hard and do it. The workouts are extremely challenging, but many moves can be modified for a beginner, or even made more challenging for someone more advanced. In the beginning I modified some of the harder exercises, but as my strength and endurance grew over the weeks, I realized that it was no longer necessary!

The Starting Point
My neighbor invited me to join boot camp – and frankly I thought she was being very flattering, but what was she thinking? I am in my mid-forties and not doing anything for exercise except gardening and running after my five year old. And frankly I had 15-20 pounds to lose – I love to cook and eat the results! I had not run a marathon like she had earlier that year – and how could I possibly do it?
Getting Going
Well long story short – I was ready for a change and looking for my vehicle to make it happen - Boot Camp at 5:45 in the morning twice a week got it all going for me.
Jennelle and team gave us a tough work out – but modified it for the abilities of each participant. I was sore – yes – but good sore (well the first week was really sore but it got better each time).
Jennelle also became my personal coach for other changes such as better eating habits (which I knew in my twenties but had lost touch with) and pointers on eating in restaurants, other exercises, etc. Pointers were concrete, specific and delivered with a sense of humor and support.
Getting up at 5:15 to work out outdoors may sound ‘extreme’ – at least it did to me – but it also really helped.It fit in my schedule and became my mantra - as in
- I didn’t get up at 5:15 to eat cheese appetizers at book club
- I didn’t get up at 5:15 to not do anything else – so I started walking – really walking as in 4, 6, 8 and most recently a 10 mile walk! And loving it…
- And Janelle was my encouraging coach and partner through this process. I still carry her wisdom, advice and sense of humor in the back of my head.
Progress Check In
I participated in boot camp starting the last week of September and began a walking program at the end of that first week, started keeping a food log to figure out what I was really eating and how I could improve.
Two months later, Boot Camp is on winter break and I am looking forward to going back in the spring. I continue to maintain my eating changes (not perfectly – but that’s real life) and I continue to walk (discovering the beauty of my town.) I am in a much happier frame of mind, I am sleeping much better and I have lost ten pounds (which on a 5’ 3” frame has a big impact – yeah!)
I continue to work towards my overall goal weight and look for ways to work new things in (I just bought my first kettle bell!) And I look forward to Boot Camp in the spring – maybe I’ll be ready for the heavier sand bags? Bring it on!
