Home Personal Training - Manchester, Londonderry, NH

GeneIntroducing Gene, a home personal fitness trainer serving Manchester NH, Londonderry NH, Litchfield NH, Hudson NH and west, as well as the towns between Wilton and Keene, NH.

I decided to become a trainer after having gotten laid off from high-tech for the third and final time. I had gained too much weight over the years being sedentary in that type of job. Even prior to my last layoff I had already begun to systematically and methodically lose body fat while trying to increase strength, endurance and boost my metabolism. There was no magic pill. I did it through exercise and diet. I figured that if I could do it, then others could too and that I could try and help them.

I attended the National Personal Training Institutes 6 month program in Waltham, MA in 2009. I then studied for and passed the NSCA ( National Strength and Conditioning Association ) Certified Personal Trainer exam this past April.

For the boot camp class, I use a combination of different exercises and movements throughout the 1 hour session. I always begin with a warm-up of some functional type. I then demonstrate 3-4 moves near or on the mat followed by 1 or 2 exercises that include more movement around the park. This cycle continues for about 4-5 times before I have the class stretch the muscles we've trained. I like to focus on core and compound moves as much as I can. I feel like my boot camp classes are challenging and I always encourage everyone to do the best they can.
