Introducing Elisa, a personal fitness trainer serving Boston, Cambridge, Brighton, East Boston, South Boston, Chelsea, Waltham, Somerville, Malden, Allston, Back Bay, Charlestown, Dorchester, North Brighton, Revere, Roslindale, and Winthrop, MA.

I am Elisa, a personal trainer serving the Boston area since July 2009.  I have enjoyed playing sports my entire life.  I played competitive basketball and volleyball since my early teenage years and it is since then that I have acquired my fitness goals with a trainer.  Whether in a team setting or working to achieve individual goals, I have come to appreciate the physical benefits, as well as the self-esteem gains of good hard work at the gym.  I believe both of these benefits create a type of feedback loop that helps further a client's fitness levels and desire to workout. 

In terms of specific workout techniques, I like to combine exercises that use a client's body weight to gain strength with exercises that use additional resistance or weight.  I also like to include circuit training and interval training to really boost the cardiovascular benefits.

I graduated from Tufts University in May 2010 with a degree in Biology.  I played basketball at Tufts for one year until sidelined with an injury.  I have battled several injuries throughout my athletic career, including foot, knee, hip, and back pain.  I have had to be cautious of my form while working out to prevent injury or to avoid a sore spot.  I can help my clients do the same with their problem areas, as well as safely help strengthen these areas to help in the recovery process.

In the fall, I will be further pursing my interest in health by attending a Physician Assistant graduate program.
