Well, it is that time of year again that we all are surrounded by piles of mashed potatoes, heaping cakes with double chocolate, and everything in between. So, instead of playing catch up January 1st, this is the year you are going to a few pounds lighter before the first of the year.

YES, I SAID BEFORE!

What is it about Americans that we seem entitled from October 31st to January 1st to completely engorge ourselves? So, let’s talk about it. Halloween sneaks up on us and we find that we have not only an enormous amount of candy from the children but extra bags, why do we keep it? And then Thanksgiving hits us four weeks later and we eat so much that we pass out or in some cases black out from the amount of food. Then for some of us Christmas which sometimes can lead up to days of intoxicating food, and then left-overs. We do not eat this way all year long. We count calories and grams of fat, carbs and eat enough greens to make grazing cattle jealous. So this year it is going to be different, we are going to nip the endless cycle in the rear… literally.
